WASHINGTON - Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced over $ 180 million in new grants awarded to 11 states Rethinking education to better serve students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rethink K-12 Education Models grant will support the efforts of states to create new innovative ways for students to continue to learn in ways that meet their needs. The winners include Georgia, Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, North Carolina in the New York, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota's, Tennessee and Texas. Prizes range from $ 6 million to $ 20 million. "To ensure that every student can continue learning during the pandemic of coronavirus requires Innovation of local education leaders and a similar focus on doing what is right for students laser" said DeVos Secretary. Congress aside 1% of the $ 30.75 trillion allocated to the Stabilization Fund of Education through Law deals with subsidies to states with the greatest burden of coronavirus.
