A final decision on whether the administration will forgive some debt of student loans that will probably not arrive until July or August, administration officials said to the Wall Street Journal.

The president said at the end of April that he would. Make a decision in "the next two weeks." Since then, the Administration has not made any formal announcement about the generalized relief of the debt. On Monday, James Kvaal, under the Secretary of Education, said in an event carried out by the Bipartisan Policy Center that the Administration is still considering how much student debt cancel and who will be eligible under the proposal for forgiveness of the debt.

Kvaal also said that he had no news about whether there would be another pause about debt payments.
