Rodney Braziel is looking for a degree at the University of Toledo this spring after a two -decades pause of the university. He always planned to return to university and complete his last semester and graduate, but as a hardworking father who supported a family and breeds four children, he never felt like the right time. Everything changed when Braziel, 44, and his 18 -year -old son, Rayvon, were offered dual scholarships to attend the university at the same time.

father and son enrolled this academic year: Mrayvon is a first -year student at Ohio State University, and Rodney is a last year student at the University of Toledo, and they have been helping each other through the transition.

"It simply helps keep me and keeps me punished and gives me a bigger goal to get to the qualifications," Rodney said. "It keeps me at the point."

Rayvon has benefited of his father's advice and advice on how to make tasks lists, deal with stress and prioritize tasks. And a little friendly competition does not hurt.

"I know that I always want to overcome my dad, of course," he laughed.

The education of the Braziels is being financed by Hope Toledo, a non -profit organization that offered scholarships, enrollment, books and tables and joints of the Board, to the members of the 2020 graduation classes of 2020 and 2021 at the JESUP W. Hope Toledo is one of the few recent admission initiatives and scholarships released nationwide designed to bring students and their relatives to the university in the hope of improving the ending rates of driving to higher wages.
