The Goddard College Trustee Board issued a letter of cessation and withdrawal last week to a group of students who voted not trust in the Board and the University President last month. The letter accuses the group of former students to violate the law of the registered trademark using the name of Goddard College. P>
"Accept this letter as an official notice of your infringement of this brand and as the address to cease and desist the use of this protected brand without expressed permission," wrote Joseph P. McConnell, a lawyer with the signature Lawyers Morgan, Brown & Joy. P>
The notice also requests that the group "ceasse the publication of deceptive or defamatory statements" on the university, its president and the board. Otherwise, the Board can take legal action against the Group. P>

in a Letter of 11 pages, the Association of Students of Goddard College, last month issued a vote of any confidence at the Board of Trustees and the President, Dan Hochoy. The Council is "a small group of individuals, calling himself at the former student council, who has no official foot, authority or relationship with Goddard College," Hochoy said. "Any statement or feeling of them reflects only that of the handful of people who understand the group." P>
McConnell wrote in the notice of EESC and withdrawal that many of the topics raised in the letter of non-confidence contained false information. p>
"Although many of these affirmations express an unfounded opinion with respect to Goddard College, a number is also misleading, wrong and potentially defamatory," he wrote. "In addition, these statements seem to intentionally interfere with commercial relations and activities of Goddard College". P>
