The President of the University of Michigan, Dr. Mark S. Schlissel announced on Tuesday that he would give up the presidency in June 2023, a year before the end of his term announced previously.

Schlissel announcement came a little over a year after the faculty members voted limitedly to the members of their leadership and in the midst of the recent tensions between him and the members of the faculty , as well as the Board of Regents of the University.

On Monday, the Senate of the Faculty began to vote in a series. Of critical resolutions with the leadership of the administration of it on Covid-19 and sexual misconduct.
