The Arizona State University announced its Covid-19 mitigation plans for a semester of autumn in person only two weeks ago. Under the plans, students would not have to be vaccinated against Covid-19. But those who choose not to present the vaccination test in ASU, will be required to participate in the COVID tests twice weekly, wear the coatings of the face in the campus spaces indoors and exteriors, and undergo a control of Daily health. Fully vaccinated students could omit these additional requirements.

The political political reaction was immediate and fierce, it was quickly forced by the governor to retreat.

"This is bad policy, without base in public health," Governor Doug Ducey, a Republican, wrote on Twitter the day he announced his policy.
