US Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos issued the following statement on the executive order signed by President Donald J. Trump today that will transform the federal procurement process to replace hiring based on skills-based contract with the degree of a one size fits all

"I want to applaud President Trump by Executive Order today that recognizes the skills, knowledge and experience students and workers earn both inside and outside the classroom. opportunities too often, workers have been denied that match their skills because they lacked a degree traditional, and industries have been able employees outside because of the degree requirements of arbitrary higher education. is long past time to extend credit to workers who bring talents, even if those skills are not learned at the same time winning a traditional title, and the current executive order says the federal government needs to go forward.
